Hosted at the Charlottetown Event Grounds on the beautiful Prince Edward Island from August 26-28, the Red Sands International Beach Volleyball Jam is the only Canadian NORCECA Beach Volleyball event in 2022 that will provide a unique world-class event in the urban core of downtown Charlottetown. Combining the best in elite sport with live entertainment for people, the Red Sands International Beach Volleyball Jam is an event for people of all ages!
The Red Sands Beach Volleyball tournament is truly "Bringing the Beach to the City" with 8,000+ tons of sand being brought to downtown Charlottetown to transform the Charlottetown event grounds into a premier Beach Volleyball venue with a temporary stadium surrounding 'Centre Court' with grandstand and VIP seating for 1,500 fans! Witness some of the world's most elite volleyball talent from Canada, USA, Caribbean, and Central America compete with 87 matches occurring over a span of 3 days.
What is NORCECA?
NORCECA is the North, Central America and Caribbean Volleyball Confederation that represents 35 member countries and 6 associate members at the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB) level. The confederation is responsible for, among other things, the staging of Olympic and World Championship zone qualification tournaments, as well as continental championships for both men and women in Indoor and Beach Volleyball.
Schedule of Events
The Red Sands International Beach Volleyball tournament is comprised of 32 teams (2 athletes per team), with 16 Men's Teams and 16 Women's Teams from Canada, USA, the Caribbean and Central America.

In the 4 year period from 2011-2014, Sports & Entertainment Atlantic (S|EA) built Beach Volleyball into one the most popular sporting events in Atlantic Canada. Almost 75,000 people visited our temporary Beach Volleyball stadium on the Halifax waterfront and were captivated and entertained by the skill of national and international athletes. Now, we are bringing this unique experience to Prince Edward Island!
